- Despite a commanding 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed that the Premier League title race is now out of his team’s hands.
- City’s goals came courtesy of Antoine Semenyo, Omar Marmoush, and Savinho, bringing them to within two points of leaders Arsenal, with both teams now having two games remaining.
Guardiola’s men will take on Bournemouth and Aston Villa in their final fixtures, while Arsenal faces Burnley and Palace in their pursuit of the title.
When asked about the current title race, Guardiola remained pragmatic, stating, “It depends on them [Arsenal]. If they win two games – nothing to do, nothing to talk about. All we can do is stay in there just in case.”
Guardiola acknowledged the challenge ahead, adding, “The last two games are tough,” referring to City’s final fixtures.
City’s next match is the FA Cup final against Chelsea on Saturday, where they will aim to continue their strong form.
As the season nears its conclusion, all eyes will be on Arsenal and Manchester City as they push for glory, with Guardiola’s side hoping for a slip-up from the Gunners.
