He explained that during the negotiation process with the kidnappers, he personally took charge of the conversation. When the kidnappers made contact regarding ransom demands, Oyedepo took control of the situation and delivered a bold message, which he believed played a significant role in the pastor’s safe release.

He recounted, “One time, one of our pastors was kidnapped. When they called, I said give me the phone and I told them, in 24 hours if you don’t release him you are dead.”
