ARMY ARRESTS WANTED SOLDIER OVER ALLEGED SUPPLY OF UNIFORMS TO TERRORISTS

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested a Nigerian Army personnel declared wanted over alleged involvement in supplying military uniforms and other equipment to terrorist groups operating in the North-East.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed that the soldier, identified as Private Mohammed Yusuf, was arrested on July 25, 2026, by troops of the 7 Provost Group in Borno State.

According to Makama, the suspect allegedly absconded from his unit and travelled to Maiduguri, where he went into hiding before his arrest.

The suspect is currently in military custody and undergoing investigation to determine the extent of his alleged involvement and identify possible collaborators.

The arrest is being described as a major step in efforts to disrupt insider networks supporting terrorist activities in the region.
