A woman has sparked reactions online after opening up about how an outing allegedly took a different turn when she declined a man’s expectation during their meeting.
According to her, the atmosphere changed after she refused to follow him to another room, claiming his attitude toward her became noticeably different afterwards.
She said rather than depend on him, she decided to pay for her own meal during the outing, revealing that she spent ₦4,500 on herself.
In her words:
“You asked me out, but when I didn’t follow you to another room, you switched up and refused to buy me food. I didn’t beg, I spent ₦4,500 on myself.”
The woman also defended herself against criticism online, insisting that she is not someone who relies on men for food or money and should not be judged based on assumptions from the video.
The clip has since triggered mixed reactions on social media, with many debating dating expectations, respect and personal boundaries.
