A husband has shared the shocking moment he discovered his wife’s alleged abuse of their daughter in Anambra. The 36-year-old woman was arrested by the Anambra State Police Command over these serious allegations.
Ikechukwu Onyeanyusi explained that he found out about the alleged abuse when a friend sent him a video that supposedly showed his wife and their daughter in a compromising situation. In a video released by the Anambra State Ministry of Women and Social Welfare, Onyeanyusi recounted how he was on his way home from work on Thursday evening when his friend reached out to him with the footage. He mentioned that he hadn’t seen the video circulating on social media before this.
Initially, he was taken aback by what he saw and decided to confront his wife about it. According to him, she denied the allegations at first, insisting that the video was a product of artificial intelligence. This led him to question whether the footage could have been altered using AI technology.
Eventually, police officers arrived at their home, conducted a search, and took his wife into custody. Reports from Premium Times and Punch indicate that the police found items relevant to their investigation during the search and rescued four children in the process.
The Anambra State Police Command had previously announced the arrest, citing open-source intelligence related to a viral video that allegedly showed the abuse of a minor. The investigation is ongoing, highlighting the urgent need for child protection and thorough inquiries into cases of suspected abuse.
