Asaba, Delta State – Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has reportedly declared that she has lost interest in marriage following her separation from estranged husband Ned Nwoko, but she remains committed to expanding her family.
According to a report by PUNCH on 28th May 2026, Daniels revealed during a livestream with TikToker Jarvis at her Children’s Day carnival in Asaba, Delta State, that while her perspective on marriage has shifted, her desire to have more children, particularly a daughter, remains strong.
She explained, “But for some reason, I’ve checked my mind out of getting married. I’m yet to have a girl. And I must have a girl.” The actress stressed that motherhood, in her view, remains incomplete without a female child.
Daniels reflected on her past mindset, noting that before having her first son, she had resolved never to have a girl. However, after having two sons, she realized that daughters tend to maintain a deeper emotional connection with their mothers. She emphasized that women often remain emotionally tied to their homes, while men focus more on careers and family provision.
The actress recounted her marriage to Nwoko in 2019, which attracted public attention due to their 40-year age difference when she was just 19. Their union produced two sons but became strained in 2025 amid allegations by Nwoko accusing Daniels of substance abuse, claims she denied. She further alleged manipulation and abuse during their marriage, which eventually led her to leave the union.
Currently, Daniels considers herself single and independent, prioritizing her role as a mother while openly stating her disinterest in remarriage at this stage of her life.
