First Lady of Ogun State, Bamidele Abiodun, has shared how her love story with Governor Dapo Abiodun began, revealing that they first met as teenagers during a Christmas celebration in their hometown in Egba.
According to her, their first encounter happened at a festive gathering back in the day, when families usually returned home for the holiday season. She said that although they were both from Egba, they never lived in the same place.
“I met my husband, I think I must have been 17 or so. I met him in Egba. I am from Egba, he is from Egba. You know how those days when it is Christmas time they take you home, and we always used to have a good time. I just met him at one of those parties and that was it. We never ever lived in the same place.”
Her account offers a personal glimpse into the early beginnings of their relationship, tracing it back to a chance meeting during a festive period in their hometown.
