A flight from Lagos to Kano took a terrifying turn when heavy rain forced the aircraft to turn back to Lagos, leaving passengers shaken.

According to a post on Instagram by Adegbenga Olusegun, what was supposed to be a quick one hour and 15-minute journey ended up lasting nearly three and a half hours in the air.

The passenger recounted that the intense rainfall made landing in Kano impossible, and with several runway lights reportedly out of order, the pilot had no choice but to head back to Lagos.

Things got even scarier on the return trip as the plane hit severe turbulence, causing it to suddenly drop and sending passengers into a panic, with many screaming and praying for safety.

Olusegun mentioned that two passengers fainted during the ordeal, while about three others lost control of their bladders as fear spread through the cabin.

What started as a routine and cheerful flight quickly turned into a harrowing experience, with passengers praying as the aircraft struggled against the turbulent weather.

Fortunately, the plane landed safely back in Lagos, bringing the frightening experience to a close.

Reflecting on the incident, Olusegun noted it was a stark reminder of how fragile life can be and the importance of cherishing every moment.
