Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde Declares Presidential Ambition for 2027

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has officially declared his intention to run for president in the 2027 general elections under the platform of the Allied People’s Movement (APM).

The governor also launched the Reset Nigeria Movement and a dedicated campaign website to support nationwide mobilization for his presidential bid.

At a rally in Ibadan on Thursday, Makinde emphasized the need for a change in Nigeria’s political landscape, stating, “Nigeria cannot continue with politics as usual. This is the time to reset our nation, rebuild public trust, strengthen institutions, and create a system that works for all Nigerians.”The Reset Nigeria Movement, according to Makinde, will focus on key areas such as economic growth, job creation, education, healthcare, infrastructure development, power sector reforms, security, and institutional strengthening.“We need competent and accountable leadership to restore public trust in Nigeria,” Makinde added, highlighting his commitment to addressing the nation’s challenges
