Businessman Linus Williams, popularly known as Blord, has been released from Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja after spending over two weeks behind bars following his arraignment on criminal charges, multiple sources report.
According to reports, Blord secured his freedom after perfecting his bail conditions, including meeting stringent requirements set by the Federal High Court in Abuja. A viral video circulating online showed the entrepreneur stepping out in a navy blue kaftan and reuniting with supporters who gathered to celebrate his release.
Blord was remanded in Kuje Prison earlier in April amid allegations relating to criminal conspiracy, impersonation and alleged unauthorised use of the image of social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM). The matter drew significant attention on social media and in entertainment circles.
Although the court granted him bail some days earlier, logistical issues initially delayed his release as his legal team worked to meet all the bail conditions — including documentation that was not immediately available. Once those requirements were satisfied, Blord was finally able to walk free.
Video clips shared online captured the moment of his departure from the correctional facility, with fans and well-wishers cheering his return. Some social media users reacted to the development, expressing varied opinions about the incident that landed Blord in custody.
As of now, Blord’s legal matter remains ongoing, and his release on bail does not mark the end of the case against him.
